DECEMBER 2011: We congratulate Carolyn and Steve English of Little Rock, Arkansas, on their purchase of BW-Rapture, our premium 2011 filly by Royal Prince out of St.Pr.St. Danina. Carolyn and Steve are building a warmblood breeding program geared towards high performance dressage and jumping horses. They already own three young stallions, one from the breeding program of our friends at Kent Island Sport Horses. Carolyn and Steve have deep roots to this area, and we look forward to watching Rapture flourish in her performance and breeding career! Photo by Bill Alphin.

NOVEMBER 2011: Jen Griger and BW-Callista, owned by Leslie Valente, have started the 2011-2012 Florida show season in grand fashion!  Together they earned double wins and scores in the high 60′s at 4th-2 at the Wellington Classic Autumn Challenge.  Three weeks later they won the Fourth Level Test of Choice at the Gold Coast Fall Fling in Wellington and won the World Equestrian Brands “Tack Matters” Award during the show.  In July, they earned double wins at 3rd-1 and 4th-2 at Windy Hollow Hunt Dressage.  Photo by Susan Stickle.

OCTOBER 2011: To say that Colleen Gray and BW-Tristan had a stellar show season, would be a understatement indeed!  In November they earned 61.87% for their first PSG test.  At the 29th Annual Col. Bengt Liungquist Memorial Championships they earned 3rd place in their 3rd level division and 8th place in their 4th level division.  They also brought home double blues at 4th-3 with a high score of 66% at VADA/NOVA Autumn I held at Morven Park. If that weren’t enough, they earned 2nd and 1st place finishes at 4th-2 during Dressage at Blue Goose II and III respectively, in July and August.  Tristan was started, trained and successfully competed through 3rd level with his previous owner, Erica Sorkin.  Photo by Nancy Fino.

SEPTEMBER 2011: We congratulate Lazy J Farm on their lease of Kroniek, our Keur mare by Democraat.  Kroniek was awarded her Sport Predicate in 2009 based on her competition results through 4th level with her previous owner, Cynthia Mattern.  This stunning colt by Harmony’s Rousseau has been named Grafiet Gabriel by Cindy, his new owner.  He showed great composure and elegance at his Keuring held at Iron Spring Farm, taking home a Second Premium award.  Photo by Cynthia Mattern.

SEPTEMBER 2011: BW-Rapture earned a Premium award and 3rd place High Score Foal Award, at her Oldenburg N.A. inspection.  We thank our handlers Michael Bragdell and Corey MacGuinness for doing a splendid job! We are also grateful to Natalie, Holly, Erin and Team Hilltop for running yet another flawless inspection! JUNE 2011: Tiamo’s Royal Reid, 2008 Hanoverian Stallion, out of our SPS Danina and by Tiamo Trocadero; was bred by Offield Farm and is now owned by Ken Borden of Little Bit Farm. This beautiful stallion won the 3-Year-Old Colts/Geldings Championship at Sorensen.  Photo by SportHorse Studios.

SUMMER 2011: Team Blue Waters congratulates Martina on her beloved mare, Cordialle, being approved into the Main Mare book of the ISR/Oldenburg registry with a score of 101.  Martina bred, raised, trained this special mare. SUMMER 2011: Congratulations to Taliah Kurylak and Weltcom, who brought home high place ribbons at First Level from Dressage At Blue Goose I and II.  These rides mark the official beginning of her march toward a USDF Bronze medal, with her first two qualifying scores.  Taliah and Weltcom also garnered 2nd and 3rd place ribbons at Dressage At Blue Waters in May.

SPRING 2011:  A big congratulations to Donna Davies and BW-Randino (Royal Prince x SPS Danina) on their Training Level win with a score of 77.0% and the High Score award of the show.       

MARCH 2011: We have been so privileged to raise Roubaix owned and bred by Dr. Patricia Cross.  Roubaix beautifully manifests her royal lineage of Harmony’s Rousseau and the highly accomplished FEI mare, Capricia, who is a full sister to Hilltop Farm’s Contucci.  Since her first breath of life three years ago to now transferring her stewardship to Hassler Dressage, it has been a joy.  We look forward to hearing of her many accomplishments in the future! 

MARCH 2011: We hosted Dr. Carissa Wickens, Director of the Equine Sciences Program, at the University of Delaware and her students, for an afternoon of discussions concerning form and function in the elite dressage horse, and demonstrated the progressive training of dressage horses.  We were so proud of the horses for handling the excitement of the day with such professionalism!  We wish the students well in their future careers as many will be graduating this Spring.                                                                                                                                                                  

WINTER 2010: Blue Waters Farm */-/* is honored to become a star award recipient from the ISR/Oldenburg N.A. registry, based on the quality of our foals and their subsequent successes in the performance arena.  In fact 80% of our Oldenburg N.A. registered foals earned a premium award and 100% of the foals from our warmblood broodmares have earned premium status!                                                                                          

WINTER 2010: Ariane –/*/* (A Jungle Prince–Renoir–Matcho) earned a second star from the ISR/Oldenburg N.A. registry, based on the outstanding competition successes of her offspring.  Her first star was awarded for the quality of her foals.  Photo by Bill Alphin.

OCTOBER 2010: Taliah Kurylak earned a USDF Performance Award at Training Level based on her four scores earned at Dressage at Fair Hill and Dressage at Blue Goose I.  To earn this award, riders must earn four scores above 60% in USDF recognized competitions from four different judges.  Taliah has been training with Linda since 2005.

OCTOBER 2010: Dr. Erik Marshall and his lovely Thoroughbred gelding, Nemo, made their dressage debut a memorable one, by winning their Training Level 3 and 4 tests with scores in the high 60’s at the Blue Goose Schooling Show on October 2nd.  Eric already an accomplished eventer, has in recent years redirected his interests towards dressage.  Having previously trained with Bruce Davidson and Philip Dutton, we are pleased to welcome Erik to the Blue Waters family!                                                                                                                                                

SEPTEMBER 2010: Linda is thrilled to congratulate BW-Regal Reception’s new owner, Jennifer Strine.  Jenn is an accomplished professional dressage trainer and owner of Bella Luna Riding Facility in Milton, Pennsylvania.  Jenn is completely impassioned to assist riders and horses across disciplines reach their performance potential.  Regal could not be in more capable hands and we look forward to cheering them on as they make their competition debut down center line in 2011!
