BW-Royal Splendor’s power packed pedigree, beautiful movement and kind temperment make him a very interesting prospect for the professional or amateur dressage or hunter rider. He is a full brother to the highly successful BW-Raphael. Splendor impressed the judges at his Oldenburg N.A. inspection at Hilltop Farm, earning 8.4 for conformation and type, an 8.0 for movement and an 8.1 for overall impression for a final score of 8.2 and Premium award. Several weeks later he trotted away with 8th place and a score of 78.5% in the Colts of 2009 class at Dressage at Devon. We expect him to mature to 16.3 H.
BW-Royal Splendor is by the top Hanoverian stallion Royal Prince, who, under rider Susanne Hassler achieved a stellar 4th place finish in Verden, Germany at the World Breeding Federation Championship for Young Dressage Horses in the Five Year Old division. They remain the highest placing American pair to date. 2010 marked Royal Prince’s Prix St. Georges debut under Christopher Hickey, earning scores in the high 60’s and into the 70’s in his first few outings.
BW-Royal Splendor’s dam Ariane -/*/-, has produced one champion after another. Her offspring have won numerous breed show titles and National Championships in dressage sport. To learn more about Splendor’s lineage, please visit our Dams and Sires page.
